“Le Cinque Terre”, the five villages of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore, are celebrated for their beauty and their preservation over time from modern developments.
Situated on a rugged portion of the Italian Riviera coast, in the region of Luguria, the Cinque Terre is a wonderful destination due to it's sunny maritime charm, enhanced by the fashioning, over the years, of terraces in the cliffside, overlooking the sea.
The five villages are connected by a trail, the Sentiero Azzurro (“Sky-blue Path”), which can make for a five-hower walk, ideal to drink in the lushious views along the clifftops, but also perfect for some physical exercise, as the path sometimes becomes steep and strewn with narrow steps.
The place has a prominent culinary culture, given to its Mediterranean location. One can savour some local dishes and wines in some of the villages' restaurants and even at the numerous hotels and Bead & Breakfasts all around the site.
The Cinque Terre remains one of Italy's most beautiful locations and an incredibly popular tourist destination.
