Milan has a rich cultural and historical past, and to this day stands as one of the worlds major financial and buisiness centres, and is counted among the world's capitals of fashion with Paris and New York.

Fashion and shopping are one of the city's major attractions, as Milan hosts the prestigious furniture and design fair, the Fiera Milano; and famous fashion brands, like Gucci, Versace, Prada and Armani are headquartered there.
