Milan has a rich cultural and historical past, and to this day stands as one of the worlds major financial and buisiness centres, and is counted among the world's capitals of fashion with Paris and New York.

Th city is full of things to do and see. Events in January include the procession of the Corteo dei Magi between two of the city's most beautiful basilicas: the Duomo and Sant'Eustorgio; and the architecture, fashioned over centuries in different styles, can be admired throughout the centre and various districts of the city. Fashion and shopping are one of the city's major attractions, as Milan hosts the prestigious furniture and design fair, the Fiera Milano; and famous fashion brands, like Gucci, Versace, Prada and Armani are headquartered there.
