Palio of Rome, mega football tournament

Is a busy time in Rome during the Spring, as the tourist season starts pretty early , already on March you will see plenty of tourists making the Roman streets very crowdy.

And there is a huge passion going on in Rome, a mega football tournament, the Palio of Rome involves four teams from each of the city's 94 neighbourhoods - a total of 376 teams playing in 1608 matches.

The mega final will take a place exactly on the city's birthday at the Stadio Olimpico. This is the perfect time to visit the Ancient Rome, it's not too hot, there are many events going on, such as the Football tournament for fans and also Rome's birthday for the art lovers, many famous stars will perform in very well known places in Rome. The exact date when it starts this year is April 20th until 22 th celebration of the birthday will be mainly held at the Circo Massimo, with singers and famous people, but of course many other events held trough all the city making your stay unforgettable.
