There are also countless festivals going on during all year. Specially busy time is Summer.

This weekend there is an event , which is very famous for Venetians, this festival Festa del Redentore, as it combines a religious theme with a spectacular celebration that attracts thousands of visitors. Right on Saturday night, the inimitable setting of St. Mark's Basin hosts a phantasmagorical firework display that lights up the spires, domes and bell towers of the city with a kaleidoscope of colours and reflections.

This festival dates back in 16th Century, one of the rare festivals that last for few hours, like new years and white nights, but its very welcome and awaited .Just as they have done for centuries, numerous small boats decked out with balloons, decorations and brightly coloured lanterns, begin to flock into St. Mark's Bay and the Giudecca Canal. The boats are everywhere, then mooring alongside each other. Everyone enjoy the dinner of some traditional Venetian specialities, while waiting for the fireworks, which begins at 11.30 pm and ends after midnight. You just have to see it, and have your very own romantic holiday in Venice.
