Aosta Valley is an Alpine valley, and it's one of the twenty regions of Italy having an autonomous status. At its borders, there are France and Switzerland, therefore both Italian and French are spoken. Aosta Valley is the smallest, least populous region in Italy. Past few years it has increased its amount of tourists. Especially winter sports as skiing and alpine skiing are attractive acts in this region. As the most mountaineous region in Italy, Aosta Valley has the famous Monte Bianco (the Mont Blanc) as the highest peak. Aosta Valley can be divided in several climate zones, but overall, the region is relatively cold. In addition to winter sports, a spectacular attraction in Aosta Valley is Fénis Castle with its towers and stunning architecture. St. Vincent and its Casino offers different kind of entertainment.
